Owner & Operator

Over the past 30 years Shane has gained extensive experience working on a range of vehicles and machinery, from all industry sectors. Shane completed his apprenticeship as an A Grade Auto Electrician in South Africa and holds industry licences with ARCtic (Australian Refrigeration Council) and IAME (Institute of Automotive Mechanical Engineers). Shane now manages and operates his family business in Redlands Coast with his wife Liz.

Liz joined the 12/24 Volt Auto Electrics team in 2017, bringing her own wealth of knowledge and expertise of automotive and business management. If you have a question or require a booking, Liz will help you out! She also manages supplier relationships, the management and procurement of spare parts, as well as assisting with aftermarket fitments including dual battery systems for caravans & mobile homes.

What a great experience. I had my entire solar and caravan auto electrics designed and upgraded by 1224 VOLT Auto Electrics. Liz took the time to fully understand my needs, both before I arrived at their workshop and upon arrival. Communication throughout the 3 day project was exceptional, and when I arrived to collect the finished product, I received a complete presentation and explanation of the system design, and a demonstration of how it all works. This is a best in class service provider, who is highly recommended. And the cost was less than I expected. All in all 5 stars. Congratulations to everyone at 1224, especially Misty 🐕

Awesome service, I could not be happier with the job they completed with the power supply in our caravan. The finished job was very neat and tidy. Liz was friendly and professional throughout the process. Liz also kept me informed on the progress and if any changes were required. Simon was also friendly and was very happy to take the time to explain in detail what was completed in the van. I was very appreciative of Simon taking the van in out of the work shop. I recently had Shane and Liz take on my Nissan Patrol for some pretty big work. Solar panel, lithium battery, 95L fridge, inverter, dash cam, stereo... everything has been running PERFECTLY. The work they did was outstanding. My Patrol is completely self sufficient on power now and the fridge has been running, charging and keeping temp non stop without a single issue. I'd recommend 12/24 to anyone.

Liz was amazing! She took heaps of time to answer all my questions no matter how small they were. She quoted me from the start so I knew how much things were going to cost and they stuck to it. Their work was meticulous too. But best of all, I know I can call afterwards if I have any questions. Honestly, you don’t get customer service like 12/24 very often at all. Would highly recommend!
