The REDARC Smart Start® SBI24 serves as a dual battery isolator, designed to separate the start and auxiliary batteries in a dual battery setup. This microprocessor-controlled intelligent battery isolator safeguards the primary battery against excessive discharge from the secondary battery, ensuring the primary battery remains charged while the auxiliary battery powers non-essential loads. The SBI24 operates at 24-volt DC with a continuous rating of 100A.

EFFICIENT POWER MANAGEMENT The Smart Start SBI24 battery isolator is predominantly employed in dual battery systems for commercial vehicles. It incorporates advanced electronic components that prevent solenoid-induced high voltage transients. It is favored over diode battery isolators due to the voltage drop associated with diode-based isolation. This isolator features sophisticated fault detection and LED indicators that signal various issues such as over-voltage, voltage drop, and excessive current draw.
