If your car air conditioner is not cooling, as it should, it is probably not working correctly and may be losing refrigerant (liquid or gas leak).
We will need to diagnose the problem and if a leak is evident it needs to be repaired before the air conditioner is re-gassed. Simply topping up an air conditioner leaking fluorocarbon refrigerant is illegal and will harm the environment by continuing to leak refrigerant into the air.
An auto electrician qualified to work with vehicle air conditioners will need to conduct this service.
Two yearly maintenance services are required to avoid costly repairs. We can send you a friendly reminder prior to the annual due date.

I have found Liz and Shane to be absolute icons to do business with. Originally, I had them install the Solar system into my Campervan. I loved the fact everything was explained to me so I could understand what and why things were being done, with an up front Quote so I was aware of what my budget needed to be. Consequently when I required the Air Conditioning problem fixed it was back to MY Auto Electricians, all sort and serviced for me to head off on my adventures. Cheers to 12/24 Volt Electrics 🚐🚐🙏🙏
from Google Did an amazing job, fixed my air con that has never worked properly before. Very professional and paid great attention to detail. Definitely recommend to everyone.
from Google Shane came out to carry out a regas on air-conditioning and he informed me that the compressor had failed. Liz organised a replacement which should have fitted the car. Liz then organised for the compressor provider to send a further compressor out which was also did not fit correctly. Following further discussions, the provider then rebuilt my existing compressor which has now been regassed by Shane and is all good again. Superb service provided by both Liz and Shane and the people they deal with and at very reasonable prices. Have recommended them to a number of family members. Thanks again.
The Australian Refrigeration Council (ARC) has been the governing body for refrigerant licences and refrigerant trading authorisations in Australia since the early 1990’s. It is legally required that businesses acquire a refrigerant licence to handle R134a and R1234yr, these are the refrigerant gasses that all car manufacturers have used since R12 was outlawed in the early 1990’s, due to its harmfulness to the environment. 12/24 Volt Auto Electrics is an ARC certified business and is proud to operate strictly within the guidelines and rules of this governing body.
The Institute of Automotive Mechanical Engineers (iame) was established in 1936. It supports the industry by giving technical information relevant to the trade. It has been instrumental in improving conditions within the industry by raising the skill level and supporting Tradesmen wanting to further educate themselves. iame issues a monthly journal to its members called the “The Automotive Engineer”. Members can be kept up to date and informed of changes within the sector. Seminars and training are held frequently in Queensland and throughout Australia.
